Teemu Arina (FIN)

Teemu Arina is a social technology specialist, consultant, author, speaker, blogger and CEO of
Dicole Ltd.
Teemu Arina has spent 1/3 of his life as an entrepreneur. At the age of 17, he was already teaching his first semester on digital media culture and emerging technologies. Since then, Mr. Arina has worked in multiple fields to understand the societal changes as an alternative thinker, social media commentator, social technology architect and advisor to various organizations.
Already at an early age, Mr. Arina became interested and involved in understanding the limitations of human cognition and how to break them with technology. He specializes in organizational change, learning, collaboration, innovation, complexity and knowledge work in relation to social technologies (e.g. Web 2.0). He has implemented, advised and led several successful projects utilizing aspects of social media. In 2007, he gave over 100 presentations at respected universities and events all over Europe on topics such as social media, parasitic learning and serendipity 2.0. When not reading, writing, cooking or juggling, he enjoys Finnish sauna where the next generation of ideas will take shape.
Judy Breck (USA)

Judy Breck writes about open and mobile learning on her blogs

iCommons.org. She was guest editor for a 2007 special issue about open learning for
Educational Technology Magazine. Her new book
Intertwingled features stories about mobile learning in the 2030s. Howard Rheingold’s foreword refers to it as “a compelling story of what is possible.” Her 2006 book
109 IDEAS for Virtual Learning, foreword by John Seely Brown, will be republished this year with a new section on findability. Contentmaster (1997-2001) at HomeworkCentral.com, Judy led this open content learning website that received 4 million monthly page views. Originally from West Texas, she has lived in New York City since 1968.
Peter A. Bruck (AUT)

Peter A. Bruck is the founder and General Manager of the
Research Studios Austria. He is also the Honorary President of the ICNM - International Center for New Media, Salzburg, the Chairman of the Board of the
European Academy of Digital Media-EADiM, Netherlands, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the
UN World Summit Award. He has taught at universities in Canada, the USA and Western Europe plus Israel and Poland and has over 25 years of experience in research and consulting in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Portugal, the USA and Canada. Peter A. Bruck continues to teach as Honorary Professor of Information Economy and New Technologies at the Institute of Economics (Faculty of Law) at the University of Salzburg and holds an appointment as Research Professor of Communication and Journalism at Carleton University, Ottawa. He is the founder of the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg and has headed research institutes at universities and national research organisations in Canada and Austria.
Ulf-Daniel Ehlers (GER)
Dr. Ulf-Daniel Ehlers is an Adjunct Associate Professor of the Graduate School for Management and Technology of the University of Maryland University College, and an Assistant Professor in the Department for Business Information Sciences of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. He holds degrees in English Language Teaching, Social Sciences and Educational Sciences from the University of Bielefeld, where he finished his Ph.D. with honours in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning in 2003. He has worked as coordinator of many European and national projects and is currently Vice-president of the
European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning.
Ulf is an internationally recognized researcher and innovator in the area of E-Learning. He has extensive experience in helping individuals achieving superior learning performances and has run lighthouse initiatives in the field of e-learning and knowledge management as well as e-business, including knowledge-technology consulting for small and medium-sized enterprises. Ulf has developed the Learners’ Quality Model for e-learning, which is a basis for learner centred quality development in e-learning. He is working as advisor to governments and non-governmental organisations in the field of learning and development cooperation and is member of several advisory boards and editorial committees. Ulf is the author/publisher of several books and more than 50 articles and book chapters, has been a featured speaker at numerous international conferences, and is member of several professional associations for e-learning and education.
