Microlearning2008: Call for Papers Closed

Thank you for your interest. The call for papers for the MICROLEARNING2008 Conference is now closed.

1st Call for Papers (December 2007)

We are inviting research papers, practice reports and posters dealing with digital innovations in learning and capacity-building.

Capacity building is about empowering individuals, organisations, and societies to keep pace with the global Knowledge Society, notably through the use of internet-based and mobile ICT. The term is mostly used in relation to "lesser-developed countries". But under the conditions of the global digital climate change, everyone needs to adapt: we are seeing the emergence of new technology-driven practices, new patterns of attention, new aggregate states of knowledge, and new hybrid forms that go beyond the antithesis of orality & literacy.

Papers and posters:
We are calling for research papers (ca. 6–8 pages), practice reports (4-6 pages) and posters. After undergoing peer-review, accepted papers will be published digitally and in print by June 10th, 2008 in the Conference Proceedings (Innsbruck University Press).
