Microlearning Conference 2008
The MICROLEARNING2008 Conference will be held from June 25th – 27th, 2008 at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. The Conference theme for 2008 is Microlearning & Capacity-building.
For the 4th time, the Conference presents a platform for international experts and practitioners from very diverse fields to discuss the latest developments in digital technologies and practices stimulated by microcontent.
We have invited research papers, practice reports and posters dealing with digital innovations in learning and capacity-building.
Capacity-building is about empowering individuals, organisations, and societies to keep pace with the global Knowledge Society, notably through the use of internet-based and mobile ICT. The term is mostly used in relation to "lesser-developed countries". But under the conditions of the global digital climate change, everyone needs to adapt: we are seeing the emergence of new technology-driven practices, new patterns of attention, new aggregate states of knowledge, and new hybrid forms that go beyond the antithesis of orality & literacy.
